Already started a trial or bought a license? Download the app here. An active license is required for dictation; downloading does not start a new subscription.
Select your operating system to download:
Your first dictation
- On Windows, open the downloaded MSI installer and follow the installation steps. On macOS, open the DMG and move PrivaSpeech to Applications.
- Open PrivaSpeech and paste your license key. You need an active trial or subscription. Find your key in your Polar receipt or customer portal.
- Allow the speech model to download once (about 465 MB). Keep the app open and stay connected until setup finishes.
- Allow microphone access when asked. In Settings, use Mic Check to confirm the microphone works.
- Open a blank document. Press Ctrl+Space, say a short sentence, and press Ctrl+Space again to stop. If you changed the shortcut, use the one shown in Settings.
- Wait for transcription to finish, then paste into your document: Ctrl+V on Windows or Command+V on macOS.
Need help getting started?
Email support@privaspeech.com with your operating system and the step that failed. Include the error message if there is one. Do not send your license key, recordings, or confidential dictation.
If your trial has expired or was canceled, downloading again will not restart it. Contact support before starting another checkout.
